It is only a week left before Christmas 2010. Christmas is an important festival to many countries just similar as the Spring Festival to us. Converting PDFs to editable documents is no easy feat. You’ll be hard pressed to find an application that does it, and does it well. More often than not, if there are images or formatting in a PDF, the formatting goes out of the window once you convert it to an editable file and you’re left with a garbled document. Google on Monday added another volume to the e-book saga with the introduction of the company’s eBookstore. The retail operation, first announced in May for launch in the summer, falls under the umbrella of Google Books and boasts more than 3 million titles, ranging from current bestsellers to classics.

Google’s much-revered web browser Chrome received an update yesterday, with version 8 of the browser bringing in hundreds of improvements over the previous version.
Only a few weeks after Adobe’s announcement of Acrobat Reader X (which added a sandbox mode, for safer PDF viewing) Google have announced their own support for PDF documents within the browser. Chrome 8 (build 8.0.552.215) supports the viewing of PDFs natively, without the need for plugins or additional software.
